MIKE WALSH, P.ENG.
Principal
Mike is a civil engineering graduate of the University of British Columbia (1991). He has a diverse range of experience in both the public and private sector in roles encompassing the design, construction, rehabilitation and management of civil infrastructure. This breadth of knowledge allows him to integrate a bigger picture understanding of the technical, financial and quality aspects of project development; providing value for clients on projects big and small.
Prior to starting Skmana Engineering, Mike was employed with the BC Ministry of Transportation with his most recent role as the Regional Manager of Operations for the Southern interior; having oversight of the $85 million annual bridge and paving programs. Prior to that, Mike was a geotechnical engineer and manager in the Kootenays region; providing technical input to project design & construction, emergency support and, management of 20 staff.
Mike is an avid outdoors enthusiast who has followed a lifelong passion for the outdoors, often found skiing, hiking and climbing throughout BC.
